BZB (Bobruisk Biotechnology Plant) is a Belarusian enterprise established to produce technical and food-grade ethanol, carbon dioxide, and biotechnological products for agriculture. The plant employs around 440 people and operates with significant capacity, including 600 thousand decaliters of rectified technical ethanol, 13 thousand tons of feed yeast, and 2.5 thousand tons of liquid carbon dioxide annually. A portion of food-grade ethanol is supplied to producers of wine and vodka, while other products serve diverse industrial and agricultural needs.

Among its key products is rectified ethanol from food raw materials, including pharmaceutical-grade alcohol used for aerosols and laboratory testing. The plant also produces Lux and Lux Premium ethanol varieties, which are highly purified and derived from selected grains such as wheat and rye. These products are valued for their clarity, smooth taste, and compliance with strict standards, making them suitable for premium vodka and other alcoholic beverages. Lux Premium has received international recognition, including a gold medal at the 2024 ZALATY KELIK tasting competition.

BZB also develops biotechnological solutions such as Laxil-M, a preparation based on lactic acid bacteria that improves feed preservation in agriculture. Unlike chemical preservatives, it is environmentally safe, does not harm beneficial microflora, and helps maintain the nutritional value of silage. In addition, the company manufactures disinfectants like Vitadez-Plus, which are widely used in healthcare, food production, and other industries due to strong antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

The plant’s portfolio extends to lignin fuel briquettes, which provide an eco-friendly heating solution with high calorific value, and Lignosorb, a sorbent for oil spill collection that can be repurposed as solid fuel. Liquid carbon dioxide is another important product, applied in welding, dry ice production, and fire safety systems. With this diverse range, BZB combines traditional ethanol production with innovative biotechnological and ecological solutions, serving both domestic and international markets.
